Dr. Prasad Bhate is a highly experienced gastroenterologist with over 20 years of expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders. He currently serves as the Head of the Department (HOD) of Medical Gastroenterology at Manipal Hospital, Baner, where he leads a dedicated team providing advanced and comprehensive digestive care.

He completed his MBBS from Grant Medical College and Sir J. J. Group of Hospitals, followed by an MD in General Medicine from B. J. Medical College. He further pursued a DM in Gastroenterology from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College. To enhance his clinical expertise, he also completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine and a fellowship in Advanced Therapeutic Endoscopy in Sydney, Australia.

Dr. Bhate specialises in treating chronic liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), acid reflux, pancreatic and biliary disorders, and functional bowel conditions. He is highly skilled in advanced procedures such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and gastrointestinal manometry.
