Dr. Prabha Sawant is a highly respected and experienced gastroenterologist with over 46 years of clinical expertise and more than 38 years of teaching experience. She currently serves as the Professor and Head of Department and is widely recognized for her contributions to gastroenterology in India.

She has mentored and guided 38 DM Gastroenterology students at Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and continues to serve as a DNB Gastroenterology guide at Gleneagles Hospital, Parel, since 2017.

Dr. Sawant specializes in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions and is particularly known for her expertise in endoscopy. She has made significant academic contributions, including over 180 research publications, editing multiple monographs, and presenting extensively at national and international conferences.

Her approach combines clinical excellence with academic depth, ensuring accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and high-quality patient care.
