Dr. Deepak Chhabra

Dr. Deepak Chhabra is a highly experienced Surgical Oncologist with over 15 years of expertise in advanced cancer surgery, minimally invasive oncology, and robotic surgical procedures. He joined Lilavati Hospital in 2003 as a Clinical Fellow in GI Surgical Oncology and has successfully performed more than 5,000 cancer surgeries during his distinguished career.

Dr. Chhabra received specialized training in Hepato-Biliary and Pancreatic (HPB) Cancer Surgery from Nagoya University, Japan, under the mentorship of renowned surgeon Prof. Yuji Nimura. He is also a certified Robotic Surgeon trained in laparoscopic and robotic cancer surgeries at Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea.

His expertise includes the management of gastrointestinal cancers, liver and pancreatic cancers, gynecological cancers, breast cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, and peritoneal cancers. Dr. Chhabra is among the few specialists in India experienced in Cytoreductive Surgery (CRS) and HIPEC for advanced peritoneal malignancies. He is known for delivering precision-driven, minimally invasive cancer care with improved recovery outcomes.
